When Honda updated the Odyssey for 2018, it made many changes. The best was a new lighter weight architecture. This allows the Odyssey to do more with every horse under the hood. Another update was the new engine. Torsional rigidity provides better handling while a new suspension regulates the ride. To further improve the ride, Agile Handling Assist works with the driver to counter the effects of speed and gravity. 2019 Elite and Touring models have been upgraded from the 2018 nine-speed to an all-new ten speed automatic transmission.

Continuing where the 2018 left off, the 2019 Odyssey is the only one in its class to have a standard multi-view camera. It offers three rear views. Honda Sensing returns for 2019 with its exclusive road departure system. This utilizes throttle reduction and a steering assist to help the Odyssey quickly return to the pavement. A lane keeper watches the lines and responses with steering assistance. Forward collision warnings may trigger an emergency autobrake.
