The 2019 Honda Odyssey is sure to make families happy. With more capability, more space, and more features, it is sure to pull 2018 Toyota Sienna shoppers in its direction. With the 2019 model year, the Odyssey has stepped up its game. The 2018 Toyota Sienna, on the other hand, is not a departure from its predecessor. It contains some updates, but the basic design from 2010 remains in play.

For improvements in handling, noise and durability, Honda employs an exclusive active control engine mount system. Next, the Honda comes in either a nine-speed or ten-speed automatic while the Sienna has an eight-speed transmission. Furthermore, Honda has eliminated the gear shifter in favor of simple push button gears. To improve its weight-to-horsepower ratios, the 2019 Honda Odyssey managed to shed unwanted weight. This new lighter body weighs 100 pounds less than the previous generation. It weighs less than the Sienna, too. Siennas have essentially the same body that the minivan has had since 2010.

These Hondas earn 28 mpg highway, exceeding the Sienna’s 27 mpg highway. Honda utilizes cylinder reduction to help the Honda V6 reduce waste. When ample traveling velocity has been established, the system will reduce from six cylinders to four, using less fuel without sacrificing speed. Active shutters help ensure the best aerodynamics for the minivan when it’s on the go. It also offers the option of idle stop-start. This function allow owners to save fuel at redlights and during other long idles.

On their dashscreen, parents can see what's happening on the third row. Honda's touchscreen comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, systems unavailable on the Sienna. Furthermore, Honda offers the same suite of crash avoidance features that are not offered on the Sienna plus exclusive road departure mitigation.
