The 2019 Honda Fit and Toyota Corolla Hatchback are compact hatchbacks with five seats. Both of these urban cars offer GPS navigation and smartphone connectivity through touch screens. Helios Yellow and Orange Fury are some extravagant paint options that are available for the Fit, and the Corolla Hatchback comes in Blue Flame, Scarlet and several other finishes. In the passive safety design, this Honda has an advantage thanks to the standard ACE body and SmartVent airbags.
Technology
The 2019 Honda Fit's 7.0-inch touch screen has an electrostatic coating that resists scratches and senses the slightest input. Generating a peak resolution of 800 by 480 pixels, the monitor uses the latest WVGA technology. Optional in the EX-L model, the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System helps you navigate highways with ease. If you're curious about local road conditions, just request live updates from HD Digital Traffic. Available with an 8.0-inch touch screen, the 2019 Corolla Hatchback's Dynamic Navigation also delivers advanced guidance. However, this navigation platform doesn't come standard with live traffic services and other real-time updates. Apple CarPlay and wireless Bluetooth are included in both cars. Additional smartphone integration is available in the Fit's Android Auto and HondaLink portals. Although the Corolla Hatchback doesn't offer these mobile connections, it's available with the WiFi Connect network by Verizon. Having Pandora compatibility, the Fit also offers more entertainment options than this Toyota.
Value
Having a starting price of approximately $20,000, the 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback is relatively expensive as it makes its debut on the auto marketplace. You'll have to spend just under $23,000 on the XSE edition, which is considered a high-level version. By contrast, the Fit's most expensive model is the EX-L, which is notably less expensive than the Corolla Hatchback. This trim comes standard with premium exterior amenities, such as the Smart Entry, one-touch power moonroof and heated side mirrors. Heated front seats with leather upholstery and the second-row Magic Seats are some of the EX-L's notable interior features.
Features
The 2019 Honda Fit has a durable platform with the patented Advanced Compatibility Engineering design. This frame is more robust and resilient than the 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback's traditional frame that has side-impact door beams. Installed in the front row of the Fit, the SmartVent side airbags reduce injuries from moderate and severe crashes. Additionally, the curtain airbags in both rows are synced with a rollover sensor. Both cars come standard with three-point seat belts and lower anchors for children. An automatic tensioning system further improves the effectiveness of the seat belts in the Fit. This hatchback has a reminder system for the driver's and front passenger's seat belts.
