The new design of the Honda Accord will carry forth the reputation of reliability, safety and performance for the 2019 model year. The Accord is more beautiful inside and out. It has advanced technology that's sure to please the discriminating buyer and the safety-conscious consumer. Let's take a look at how the Accord can serve your needs.

The 2019 Honda Accord benefits from turbo power. The standard engine is a four-cylinder turbo that produces 192 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. Gas mileage is 30/38 mpg city/highway. If you want a V6, you can rely on another turbo four-cylinder engine that earns 34 mpg highway. The engine produces 250 horsepower and 273 lb-ft. of torque that's managed by a ten-speed automatic. Equally competitive, the Accord Hybrid produces 212 horsepower. The combination of an electric motor and a 2-liter four-cylinder engine is managed by a continuously variable transmission.

Unless it's the 2019 Honda Accord, a sedan doesn't always have the rear legroom it needs. The backseat offers 40.4 inches, making it extremely hospitable to adults. The trunk is 16.7 cubic feet, the largest in the midsize car class. When the Accord Hybrid was redesigned, Honda was able to move its battery and leave it with an equally large trunk. That's huge for hybrids. Size isn't the only improvement. Quality rose in 2018 and continues to impress in the 2019 edition. Top materials and contemporary design elements make the cabin extremely hospitable to the driver and passengers. The base edition has push button start, a dual-zone automatic climate system, and a seven-inch touchscreen. An advanced touchscreen adds Apple CarPlay and Android Auto which provides dozens of apps. Top trims have leather, navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a wireless charger.

The Accord is known for being a safe vehicle - period. Now it will have all of the Honda Sensing features that were once only an option. Adaptive Cruise Control makes it safer to let the car handle speed. It can slow and go to match traffic. There is even a sign recognition feature that helps the driver know when the speed drops. An automatic emergency brake will react if triggered by a forward collision warning that goes unheeded by the driver. A lane keeping assist reacts when a lane departure warning goes unheeded. Automatic high beams raise and lower light to match the needs of oncoming and leader traffic. You also get a blind spot monitor and a rear cross-traffic alert on many models.
