The 2018 Honda Odyssey and the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica are two impressive minivans on the market that stand out for their spacious interiors and innovative features. Although the two car models compete against one another, the 2018 Honda Odyssey leads in its trusted reputation and comfort.

Comfort

Both the 2018 Honda Odyssey and the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica offers a spacious cabin, but the Odyssey is built with larger seats in the second row and more padding that is available, which can pay off when traveling long distances. The seats also slide back and forth on the Odyssey but are stationary on the Pacifica. The lower latch anchors are also exposed, making for an easy connection if you have car seats to install.

Although the previous Odyssey model had two different screens in their 2017 model, the 2018 Odyssey looks less cluttered but still has a variety of controls and different buttons available. The Pacifica is more streamlined with its screen, but it doesn't feature the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity that the Odyssey is built with in its latest model. The Odyssey even comes with ventilated and heated front seats.

Standard Vehicle Options

Both vans have an extensive list of advanced features that offer a high level of convenience. The Pacifica includes a remote-start system and you can open the sliding door with a touch of a button. Perhaps one of the most impressive features on the 2018 Odyssey is the built-in vacuum cleaner, which makes it easy to keep your car spotless without worrying about getting it detailed. The feature is also an option on the Pacifica. The Odyssey even comes with a rear-seat surveillance system and a voice-projection system when you want to avoid accidents and make commands without taking your hands off of the wheel.

Value/Quality

Hondas have a great reputation and are known to last longer, which can allow you to get more out of the Odyssey over time. There's an honesty of engineering that comes with Honda, which can offer peace of mind to consumers.

Both vehicles are stylish and look high-end due to their large grills and classy design. Each car has the total package and has automatic transmissions that are more predictable than past models.
