Mechanically Equipped Vehicle for Off-Road Travel
FWD, which is standard on most vehicles, is not the ideal system necessary for off-roading, so if you’re planning on making additional trips to uneven terrain, you're going to want to switch to either AWD or 4WD, depending on the kind of vehicle you purchase. Pickup trucks like the Ridgeline sometimes have 4WD while other cars have RWD instead. Honda models only come with FWD or AWD so you don’t have to worry about not having the right equipment. You will also have a Drive Mode Select feature that can, if needed, have a Trail or Mud variation that will be ideal when you’re navigating these situations. You must have the right suspension and ample ground clearance as well so bumps in the road won’t be an issue.
