How Often Should I Change the Oil?

Since oil is an integral part of how your Civic Hybrid or Accord Hybrid runs, it’s natural that there are questions around oil change intervals. While you should always check your Owner’s Manual for manufacturer-recommended services, it’s generally understood that hybrid models consume less of it than vehicles that run on only gasoline. This is especially true if much of your day-to-day cruising looks like going slightly above residential speeds in Chantilly, though your Honda car will likely use more of its oil supply if you’re mostly driving through VA-28 at highway speeds. In general, however, you can expect to need an oil change every 7,500 to 10,000 miles.

Is Tire Maintenance Any Different?

Are There Any Extra Repairs Needed for Hybrid Vehicles?

For the most part, hybrid models undergo the same level of maintenance as the gas-powered car you’re used to driving to the Flatlick Stream Valley Park. However, one major addition to hybrids is that they’re equipped with a high-voltage battery that powers the electric motor. They typically run their useful lifespan after around 100,000 to 200,000 miles, but this measurement can vary greatly depending on your driving habits. To prolong the battery as much as possible, try to abstain from driving it in extreme heat, come to gradual stops, and stop by our Service Department to get the battery's cooling system checked out regularly!
