Performance
While both Honda and Chevrolet show mastery in the automotive creation, the former has done a better job at constructing reliability. This is shown in the 2025 Honda Accord’s powertrain, which is a turbocharged 1.5L 4-cylinder engine, which generates 192 horsepower¹ and 192 lb.-ft. of torque². The 2025 Malibu has a 1.5L turbo 4-cylinder engine as well, but it puts out 163 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. of torque. Both models come with a standard Continuously Variable Transmission, a mechanism found in many midsize sedans. Plus, each car has standard FWD to provide drivers with reliable traction on routes like State Road 123. Chevrolet often brags about the 28/36/31 MPG city/hwy/combined³ rating. However, the Accord has a 29/37/32 MPG city/hwy/combined⁴ fuel economy rating.
Interior
The 2025 Honda Accord and Chevrolet Malibu have standard heated front seats. Upper iterations of both sedans also have available ventilated front seats.
